Analiese Wheeler (she/they) is a multidisciplinary artist attending the Kansas City Art Institute in Kansas City, MO. She is working through her third year of the program and is expected to graduate with a BFA in May 2026. Her work aims to capture the female gaze through the idealization of her own experiences of girlhood and femininity as a queer woman. She often incorporates themes of renewal, decay, and overgrowth to regenerate these ideas of girlhood through memories and connections. Their methods include utilizing space, color, and collage to create paintings and sculptural work that consider the transience of human and material existence and the raw energy of girlhood.
